intro

Not knowing is fine — but knowing makes it that much more fun. Seasonal ingredients, the works, the events, the town of Tanabe. When you learn something you didn’t know, the same day looks a little different. It’s a small thing, but we think it matters quite a lot.

We’re also a design studio. Making countless ads over the years, we’ve always asked how to truly get something across to people. Communicating is our work.

So we want this cafe, too, to be a place that conveys that “fun” — while you relax over a cup of coffee.

A place where you come to know the richness of time spent in Nurumigawa, find a favourite old tool, see the work of local artists and makers, spot next week’s plans on the Tanabe board — where you learn one thing you didn’t know, and the fun grows by one.

That’s the thought we run on, today as well.
